Routine
We are finally back into our groove over here... back to the real world. We got up this morning and started the running up again. Tom has two races scheduled - one in February (the Krispy Kreme Challenge) and Cooper River in April. I will also do the bridge run and I've added the Tar Heel 10 miler while he is in Hawaii. I've decided to train like it is a half, so I get in some of those delicious long runs. I'm also taking a ballet class once a week, and I wish I would actually lie down and use the reformer twice a week. To try a little something different, I am taking a crack at an arm challenge. In the past, my arms bulk up quickly and I really detest it when my sleeves don't fit properly. I can thank Pinterest if I hate it, but the goal is to keep it up for a month and just see what happens. Wish me luck!

Baby, it's hot outside!
It is 70 degrees outside. I requested chili before it got so hot, so we turned on the AC to eat our dinner. I think the warm weather made him a little excited. Farmer Brown picked up a few seeds for his newly assembled greenhouse. The zinnias and the spearmint were my input.

Musicfest 2013
The last two years Tom attended a music festival in Steamboat Springs, CO that celebrates Texas country music. When we met he was fresh off the heels of this trip and singing the festival's praises. We never even put away our luggage from Christmas, and we loaded it again to leave for Steamboat on January 5th. These are some pictures from the trip.
Two pictures from the first day. Squinting as we landed at Hayden and squinting again as we picked up our skis.
At the glass bar listening to the Turnpike Troubadours.
Rode the gondola up to enjoy lunch with a view. (Notice his Gator hat and my LSU sweater.)

New Years Eve
To think that this time last year, we were just 20 days away from meeting. Here is to a lifetime of New Year Eves spent together!
Christmas is the best
There are a few reasons Christmas is the best. First of all, Christmas Eve is filled with anticipation and holiday magic and parties and family! I woke up to Butter on her lily pad and the tree glowing!
